Hello, fellow cinephile! My name is Jeremy Smith, I’m an artist and movie fanatic. I live in Sydney Australia. I have a degree in Arts majoring in Film and English from the University of New South Wales. I also have a First Class Honours degree and Masters by research degree in Fine Arts from the College of Fine Arts. I am an associate board member of Queer Screen/Mardi Film Festival on the Programming and Writing teams. I also am a volunteer film reviewer for a Sydney based radio station Queer Radio Sydney 89.3fm http://queeroutwest.com.
Since being named after the character Jem, Scout’s younger brother, from the 1962 classic film ‘To Kill A Mockingbird’, at birth, movies have always been apart of my identity. I love all things movies. All kinds of movies. I firmly believe in the power of art and film is the most effective and widely experienced form of art today. Here’s to the movies!
